What happens when a group of people are kidnapped from their homes, smuggled away in chains and held captive in a foreign land where they are tortured, raped, and forced to perform hard labor by the lash of a whip and under the constant threat of death? What would you do if you found out there was a major conspiracy to hide your true identity? Are African Americans part of the "lost tribes" mentioned in the Bible? What happened to the doctors, writers, scientists, builders, educators and spiritual leaders from Africa's Golden Age? Who did they really capture and sell into slavery? Are African Americans suffering from mental illness because of this conspiracy to hide the truth? Do YOU have Psychic Trauma? Take the test on page 22 of this book and see!

Before slavery: African Pharaohs build the magnificent empires of Egypt, the Golden Age o Africa brought flourishing international trade and world renowned African universities of higher learning produced brilliant scholars. After slavery, the Columbus Conspiracy encouraged expansion of the African Slave trade, slave owners created the color/caste system to keep blacks divided, and Europeans taught The Big Lie: "Africa is a dark continent of savages." Sultan Abdul Latif, Producer and Director of A Hip Hop Journey with The Ancestors, a 90 minute film highlighting the characters contained in his books Slavery: The African American Psychic Trauma and When Nations Gather, explains why it was important to create a film that appealed to youth by using hip hop lyrics to teach history and to transform the books into an interactive experience.
In many parts of the United States, singe women over 40 already outnumber single men their age by more than 3 to 1. Wars, violence, drug use and incarceration have created a growing numerical imbalance in the heterosexual male and female population. As a result, many women find themselves being pitted against each other as competitors for love in a way that is emotionally unhealthy and socially destructive. The structure of the family must be expanded. Nearly 80 percent of children in the U.S. under the age of 18 are living in single parent female headed households. Statistics show that eighty five percent of all youths sitting in prisons grew up in fatherless homes. Children need the security of a loving family where mothers and fathers co-parent in order to learn the social skills of forming a family when they reach adulthood. Rather than compete with each other, women must cooperate and form family groups with responsible men so that all children can be raised with a father in the home.
This contains a narration of the book by the author along with a series of spirited dialogues between women and men on relationships. The idea of allowing men to marry more than one woman as a means of addressing the numerical imbalance between heterosexual men and women is explored. Can such relationships be fair and equitable and not exploitive and hurtful? What creates jealousy and insecurity? Does marriage need to be redefined to reflect greater equality and mutual respect between the sexes? Are there greater benefits to children when several adults contribute their rearing? How do we create healthy male/female relationships that are not based on sexual exploitation or manipulation for money? Can we rebuild the family and community using a new model of cooperation?

Today's marriages are falling apart and many couples never tie the knot at all. Many children are not raised with their fathers in the home. Women say there is a shortage of good men. Are women willing to openly, legally share the good men, and bring fathers into the homes where single mothers are raising children alone? Can men handle that? Some women say absolutely not! Others say, why not? It just may be the solution we need for our broken families.
Where do you go when you "die" and leave this world? What if a departed loved one came back to tell you all about it? After nearly 20 years of marriage, my husband, my business partner, my best friend, was transitioning from this world after a valiant battle with an illness that left his body weakened. We knew he would soon be going to the great beyond, and I wanted to know, beyond our religious faith, beyond any scriptural teachings, what awaits us on "the other side?"
"You have to find a way to tell me how it is," I told him. "Find a way to get a message to me!" He promised me he would find a way.
He kept his promise. This is the autobiography I never expected to write, an unpredictable story of an experience I thought was impossible at best and impermissable at worst: reconnecting with a love one who has returned to spirit. The veil between the dimensions of existence is thinning. I now know there is no death, and we can stay connected by a bond of love that is eternal.
Download the audio book and listen to the story as it unfolds, written as a diary and offering a reflection on commonly asked questions about existence. As you listen to the story, consider the steps that have been described for the process of reconnecting with loved ones who have transitioned from this dimension of life. Every one of our loved ones are very much still alive. They have simply finished their Earthly assignment. All grief disappears when we learn how to travel beyond the veil that separates our worlds. This narration is the equivalent of the research journal of a scientists' investigations, with an amazing discovery that can change our views about life and the end of life forever.

Life does not end, it merely changes form. This phenomenon can now be explained and even observed scientifically. Will such knowledge remove fear of the unknown?
